Our Field Trips
Rock Climbing at Lyndon State
The students enjoy getting out to the rock wall at Lyndon State College. These outings include rope training, building trust, and team building. Through this activity, the students also have a chance to conquer fears and build confidence in a safe environment.
During the winter months, students and faculty alike look forward to skiing and riding Burke Mountain. With the school being within 8 miles of the mountain and all the fresh powder that falls in the North East Kingdom, how could we not take advantage of this activity for the students?
Curriculum-Based Field Trips
When students show interest in specific subjects or topics, we give them the opportunity to explore these topics outside of the classroom. In the past, students have visited a fish hatchery in conjunction with a science class. Students have also taken a trip to New York City as a learning opportunity, which included participating in a 5K run/walk event on Long Island.
